As PPR’s longest standing client, McDonald’s has entrusted its brand and reputation to us for almost four decades.
Throughout that time we have worked with the global restaurant chain to enhance and develop its profile within the Australian community and position it as a leader in the quick service restaurant industry and a significant community contributor.
Our partnership has spanned product and initiative launches, activations, restaurant openings and crisis and issues management. PPR consultants have been instrumental in establishing the brand as a trusted community partner.
From the outset our team has developed multi-faceted strategies designed to weave the brand into the fabric of Australian society.
This objective has been consistently top of mind when working to leverage the involvement of McDonald’s with grass roots organisations such as Little Athletics, Sydney Eisteddfod, Cricket NSW and various events and activities for Ride for Sick Kids and Ronald McDonald House Charities as well as numerous national campaigns.
PPR has additionally strived to win the support of everyday Australians through the long-running McHappy Day campaign; which has raised more than $28 Million for Ronald McDonald House Charites, and the highly-successful Our Food Your Questions campaign that was unveiled in 2013 and has now answered over 30,000 questions across Australia and New Zealand.
PPR’s work on the Our Food Your Questions campaign was awarded Issues Management Campaign of the Year at our industry’s 2014 CommsCon Awards.
Our work on the McHappy Day campaign has also picked up various awards including taking out top honours in the events category at the National PRIA Awards and the CSR category for the Holmes Report ASIA awards.
More recently PPR has worked to showcase McDonald’s evolving image and menu offerings with the Create Your Taste (CYT) range launching at the end of 2014. Since the launch PPR has worked to successfully deliver a creative and far reaching media campaign spanning across print, broadcast and online media as well as heavily targeting key social influencers.
