An experienced strategic communications consultant, Michael builds corporate and consumer brands, delivers crisis and issues management and works with business leaders to develop thought leadership positions. Michael has devised integrated communication campaigns across multiple sectors including airlines, forestry and personal finance, and offers clients evidence, based strategic advice combining creative execution to deliver effective communication campaigns. Michael has spent 20 years in the UK and Australia advising global brands including McDonald’s, Dell, Woolworths, Emirates, and Subway.

Allan has spent the past 25 years understanding what people do and why they do it. At PPR Allan leads planning and insights for clients. He works with clients to understand their business goals, their communities and builds plans to deliver the desired results for clients. He has done this for brands in over 20 countries and he has worked in the US, UK and Australia. His speciality is helping brands develop and communicate their purpose. He is the recipient of the Holmes report Top 25 innovators in Public Relations for his work in planning and insights and did the strategy and research for the award winning #likeagirl. Allan holds a Bachelor of Information management from Melbourne University and post graduate studies in change management. He is a member of the Institute of Public Relations - Measurement Commission.

Melissa’s history both in-house and in leadership roles in consultancies in London and Sydney gives her a unique insight into what’s needed within an agency to deliver excellent client service. At PPR Melissa leads the resourcing, development needs and strategic oversight across our six offices in Australia and New Zealand to ensure that quality work driven by insights is at the core of what we do. Having worked extensively in healthcare and pharmaceutical communications, as well as government, Melissa applies a rigorous approach to understand her clients’ target audiences and identify what’s truly important in changing behaviour. Melissa has led campaigns that have resulted in an increased uptake in public health behaviour, better patient outcomes in terms of longevity and quality of life, and most recently headed up the media and communication function for one of Australia’s best-known charities, the McGrath Foundation. Melissa holds a MA (Organisational Communication) from CSU – Mitchell. She is currently a judge for the PRIME pharmaceutical marketing excellence awards.

John has over 20 years’ experience as a journalist and communications professional, having worked in Australia, the UK and the Middle East. Working across a range of industries, he has led high-profile projects in sport and entertainment and provided strategic counsel to clients in the corporate, consumer, government and B2B sectors. Handling clients in law, aviation, technology, education and hospitality, as well as global management consulting firms, he has a proven ability to produce highly effective communication programmes that enhance reputation, address key issues and increase understanding. John has also implemented campaigns for a range of governments looking to raise deeper understanding of their strong bilateral trade and business relationships with the Middle East region.

Lee has 30 years’ experience in communications strategy and has been with PPR for more than 10 years. She takes a very hands-on role with clients with direct responsibility for communications strategy development, workshop facilitation, issues and crisis management, media training and campaign management. Lee is a PPR media trainer conducting multiple media training programs and is also a strong facilitator conducting regular strategy workshops for clients.
